About the Department
The current advanced Medical fraternity has an inevitable need for professionally qualified technologists. The demand for well-informed Allied Health Science professionals has been exponentially rising in the past decade. To cater to this demand Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital started the School of Allied Health Sciences in 2016 offering B.Sc. Degree Program in Allied Health Sciences in the vital areas of medicine. In 2016 we began with specializations in Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology followed by Medical Laboratory Technology, Cardiac Perfusion Technology, Radiology & Imaging Technology, Renal Dialysis Technology, Respiratory Care Technology in 2017. In 2019 Physician Assistant and Emergency & Trauma Care Technology were started and in 2022 Biomedical Sciences was introduced.
The B.Sc. Allied Health Science degree is offered under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in which students can choose elective subjects, foundation subjects in addition to core subjects. For further details
