About the Department / Program

At Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital, the general surgery department was established. Focusing on postgraduate and undergraduate student training has been our aim in order to develop their clinical and research competencies. We are committed to giving patients admitted to the ward the best treatment possible around-the-clock. In order to guarantee this, we have nursing stations in each cubicle with highly skilled nurses taking excellent care of each and every patient.

Our Mission

Our department 20 years old from 2002. We had our first batch of post graduates in 2009 with 5 seats. We have trained over 50 postgraduates, some of them are associate professors and assistant professors in general surgery department. Few of them have become super specialists and working in various posts in different institutions.

Established in 1971, this department has evolved over time in providing the best of care to patients and also training post graduates. The Department of Anaesthesiology at Kasturba Medical College Manipal aids patients with perioperative care, pain management for both minimally invasive and complex open surgeries.
