Department of Paediatrics

About the Department / Program

At Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital, the department of paediatrics was established. Since then, it has expanded from a small group of physicians to a group of more than 20 full-time faculty members and 25 support staff with a mission and commitment to the treatment of children. The department places a strong emphasis on postgraduate and undergraduate student training in order to advance their clinical expertise and research prowess while also ensuring their overall growth.

The department of paediatric’s caters to all age groups and gives high quality treatment to all paediatric disease including
emergencies like :

Growth and development related disorders and behavioural disorders
Nutritional disorders
Various infectious diseases such as dengue, malaria, scrub etc
Cardiovascular disorders including congenital heart diseases
Respiratory diseases

Gastrointestinal including genitourinary disorders
Haematology and oncological disorders
Musculoskeletal and rheumatological disorders
Neurology
Neonatal diseases including Hyperbilirubinemia, preterm care, high risk new-borns

Established in 1971, this department has evolved over time in providing the best of care to patients and also training post graduates. The Department of Anaesthesiology at Kasturba Medical College Manipal aids patients with perioperative care, pain management for both minimally invasive and complex open surgeries.
