Doctor of Medicine (MD) which is a 3 years duration degree course is among the radiology training courses that can be opted through one of the various entrance examinations after graduation. Central examination: NEET PG (conducted by National Board of Examinations) NEET: National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduation. Previously state governments and certain private colleges as deemed university used to conduct seperate entrance tests. Currently there is only a single national level entrance test – NEET PG.
After completion of the training period, the candidates give exam conducted by the university in two parts. There is a theory examination, followed by practical. The result of both (theory and practical) is declared simultaneously. Both need to be passed separately or else the candidate will have to reappear for both theory and practicals after six months.
