Faculty of Occupational Therapy at Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital offers B.O.T program (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy -Four Year & 6 Months Internship).
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is a professional course which focuses on the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of people
suffering from certain physical and mental health conditions which affects their everyday Occupation. It is a much in-demand global
healthcare profession that provides hands on practice along with theoretical knowledge on assessment and intervention, to recover,
progress, or maintain meaningful activities, or occupations, of individuals, groups, or communities.
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.O.T) Students in B.O.T program acquire the skills in Medical Health conditions, Human Occupations,Evaluation, Intervention and Research methods in Occupational Therapy. Clinical training is required before graduation program. For the clinical trainings they would be posted in various specialities such as Neurology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics & Psychiatry. The medium of instruction will be in English. The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy(B.O.T) students will be trained on evidence based practice in the areas from Paediatric to Geriatric care during their four and half year period. After passing the theory & practical examinations conducted by the University, students will have to undergo six months of compulsory rotatory internship. The students who complete it successfully will be awarded the Degree of Bachelor of OccupationalTherapy (BOT) by the University.
Eligibility Criteria:
Should have passed with a minimum 50 % in HSC (+2) with English,Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or) Botany and Zoology and should be of age 17 years or above.
