The Centre for Integrative Medical Research was established under the ambit of Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH). This is one of the first of its kind centre which integrates traditional Indian knowledge from Ayurveda and Yoga with Modern Medical Science in providing clinical services, academic training and research activities. The scope of this research centre includes combining conventional medical practices with traditional and alternative therapies to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions. The aim is to enhance patient care by integrating diverse medical systems, fostering innovative research, and promoting evidence-based practices that can lead to improved health outcomes.

  • The Centre for Integrative Medical Research (CIMR) is a facility providing integrative solutions encompassing traditional medical systems and modern medicine to address health concerns.

  • To provide a platform and training to physicians (including modern medicine practitioners and AYUSH Practitioners), researchers and students.

Teaching and Training

One of the primary objectives of the Centre is to impart training and human resource development in the field of integrated services including Unani, Siddha, Yoga, Homeopathy and Ayurveda. To achieve the same, the centre will be starting certificate courses and student trainings .
