MA Clinical Psychology (RCI Regulated Program)

  • The MA Clinical Psychology (RCI Regulated) is the new professional pathway replacing the traditional M.Phil in Clinical Psychology for licensure as a Clinical psychologist in India.

    The MA Clinical Psychology program is structured in accordance with the guidelines and standards prescribed by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge, supervised clinical training, research exposure, and professional skill development.

     

    This program prepares students for:

    Admission Process

    Admissions are conducted as per institutional and RCI guidelines.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Four-Year Undergraduate Degree in Psychology

    1. A 4-year BA or B.Sc. in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
    2. For candidates from SC/ST categories, the minimum requirement is 50% aggregate marks, as per Government of India norms.

    Alternative Pathway for 3-Year Graduates

    1. Candidates with a 3-year BA/B.Sc. in Psychology can also be eligible if they have completed one of the following:
    2. A fourth-year Bridge Course in Psychology (equivalent to the 4th year of a psychology undergraduate degree), OR
    3. The first year of a master’s program in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks.
