Department of Respiratory Medicine

The Department of Respiratory Medicine was inaugurated in the year 2003 in Sree Balaji Medical College. Now the department is functioning with 4 Professors, 4 Assistant  Professors, 3 Senior Residents, 18 Postgraduates under HOD Dr. Raja Amarnath. There is a dedicated DOTS center where regular supply of Anti Tubercular therapy and regular monitoring being carried out. Apart from Tubercular management, many advanced interventional procedures such as Bronchoscopy, Thoracoscopy, Intercostal Chest Tube placement and thoracocentesis is done. Training sessions for postgraduates in both academics and interventions are being addressed regularly. Well-equipped department with experienced professionals are the cornerstone in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
